A Salida man has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in an obscenity and sexual assault case that has been ongoing since 2019.
Herbert Lucas Scott has pleaded guilty to one felony count of obscenity and one misdemeanor count of third-degree assault in connection to incidents involving minors occurring between 2019 to 2020 at the Pony Patch daycare at his parents Doolittle Ranch.
Scott also pleaded guilty to a sexual assault charge in another case, which is said to have occurred prior to Scott’s 18th birthday. Scott will have several other charges stemming from the incidents at the Pony Patch dismissed as a result of the plea agreement.
District Judge Patrick Murphy has ordered a presentencing report and a psycho-sexual evaluation for Scott prior to sentencing.
Sentencing is scheduled for August 31st.
